Robeco has named Ralf Oberbannscheidt as global head of thematic investing.

Robeco has named Ralf Oberbannscheidt as global head of thematic investing.  

Oberbannscheidt who joins in May and will report to CIO Mark van der Kroft, will oversee Robeco’s active thematic investment teams which manage €18.7bn ($22.2bn) in assets.  

Oberbannscheidt joins from Global Thematic Partners, a New York-based firm, where he was founding partner and portfolio manager. He was also senior portfolio manager at Deutsche Asset Management from 1999 to 2010.
