Lombard Odier appoints Dr. Marc Palahi as Chief Nature Officer

Lombard Odier Investment Managers has appointed Dr. Marc Palahi as Chief Nature Officer, signaling the firm’s focus on investing in the natural world.  

Lombard Odier Investment Managers has appointed Dr. Marc Palahi as Chief Nature Officer, signaling the firm’s focus on investing in the natural world. 

Dr. Palahi, formerly the director responsible for driving the European Forest Institute’s development as a science-policy platform, will lead the nature strategy within Lombard Odier’s sustainable investment platform, holistiQ Investment Partners. He will also play a key role in creating new investment solutions and tools that support the transition from carbon-intensive economic activities to nature-based models.  

Additionally, Dr. Palahi will continue to lead the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance, established by Prince Charles in 2020, in a secondment capacity. Jean-Pascal Porcherot, co-head of Lombard Odier Investment Managers, expressed confidence that Dr. Palahi’s expertise would be instrumental in developing nature-based investment products within holistiQ.
