Goehring & Rozencwajg launches UCITS fund for non-US investors
Investment firm Goehring & Rozencwajg has introduced its first UCITS fund, the Goehring & Rozencwajg Resources fund, which focuses on contrarian natural resource investments. The fund aims to replicate the strategy of the Goehring & Rozencwajg Mutual fund and primarily invests in securities of natural resources companies.

With approximately $45 million in assets under management currently, the fund has set a target of reaching $200 million by the end of 2023. It primarily invests in equity and equity-related securities, spanning small, mid, and large-cap companies. The fund’s strategy, highly correlated to commodity prices and distinct from major equity index funds, is expected to appeal to investors seeking inflation protection.
While the initial investors include non-US family offices, private wealth managers, and investment professionals, the firm plans to expand the offering to retail investors in the future. The launch of the fund is in collaboration with FundRock, a part of the Apex Group, which will handle management, global distribution, and fund administration.
The European Development Bank, a subsidiary of the Apex Group, will serve as the fund depository. Goehring & Rozencwajg’s managing partners expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to cater to the increasing interest from international investors and provide them with detailed insights to pursue their financial goals. They also highlighted the fund’s appeal to global institutional professionals seeking to leverage the opportunities in the commodities markets.
