ETC Group appoints Chanchal Samadder as Head of Product

ETC Group has named Chanchal Samadder as its head of product, tasked with designing and implementing institutional-grade investment products.  

ETC Group has named Chanchal Samadder as its head of product, tasked with designing and implementing institutional-grade investment products. 

In his new role at the European digital asset-backed securities provider, Samadder will lead the development of the firm’s global product strategy and manage the existing suite of crypto exchange-traded products.  

Before joining ETC Group, Samadder held senior positions at prominent financial firms such as abrdn, Lyxor, Blackrock, and UBS. 

Based in London, Samadder will report to CEO Tim Bevan. He sees his appointment as a crucial step, especially as the next wave of investments in crypto and digital assets is expected to be led by institutional investors. Tim Bevan, CEO of ETC Group, lauded Samadder’s passion for digital assets and blockchain technology and expressed plans for comprehensive product strategy development under Samadder’s leadership, covering all aspects of the product lifecycle.
