AXA IM Alts has announced the appointment of Laurent Lavergne as the global head of sustainability, effective from October 1st, 2023. Lavergne will succeed Justin Travlos, who is set to depart later this year.

In his new role, Lavergne will focus on driving decarbonisation efforts within AXA IM Alts, particularly in the real estate, infrastructure, and natural capital sectors. The strategy will involve reducing carbon emissions, investing in renewable energy, and supporting nature-based solutions.
With more than 28 years of real estate investment experience, Lavergne is well-positioned to advance the company’s sustainable development platform. AXA IM Alts’ global head, Isabelle Scemama, commended Lavergne’s expertise and expressed gratitude to Travlos for his contributions to the responsible investment strategy.
