ABP invests €50 Million in biodiversity and sustainable shipping

The five-year blue bond, totaling €100 million, was issued in accordance with the International Finance Corporation’s guidelines on blue finance, which promote economic growth linked to healthy marine ecosystems.
ABP, with €476 billion in assets, sees this investment as an opportunity to make a positive ecological impact while considering the risk and return prospects for its beneficiaries. The pension fund believes it has a societal responsibility to contribute to biodiversity protection, ecosystem restoration, and responsible long-term investing.
