AXA Investment Managers names Andrew Etherington as Head of Multi-Asset Total Return

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has announced the appointment of Andrew Etherington as the Head of Multi-Asset Total Return, effective immediately. Andrew, who has been with AXA IM since 2012, brings over 20 years of experience in portfolio management to his new role. Based in Paris, he will report to Laurent Clavel, the Global Head Of Multi-Asset. 

Andrew’s previous role within the Multi-Asset team involved managing multi-asset portfolios, including those focused on total return strategies. Laurent Clavel expressed his enthusiasm for Andrew’s promotion, highlighting his extensive experience and knowledge of multi-asset total return portfolio management. Andrew’s deep understanding of the needs of institutional clients in various European markets, including France, Belgium, Italy, and the UK, is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of AXA IM’s Total Return Multi-Asset expertise. 

Andrew Etherington began his career in 1990 and transitioned to trading in 1992, specializing in credit markets at Banque Paribas in Paris. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Bristol University.
